Gold Chains weighing 47 grams were snatched on Friday from Tilakwadi and Hindwadi. Mangalsutra of Mrs.Chindak by bikers in Hindwadi while chain was snatched by bikers in Maratha Colony both were on a morning walk.
The police have been literally clueless and have not been able to put a stop to this menace. Several women have now started to arm themselves with sticks while going on walks to safeguard themselves.
A group of women from Ramteerth nagar have armed themselves with sticks to help them safeguard themselves from those chain snatchers. The police have not been able to curb this menace at all.
Sri Ram Sena in association with many other organizations has called in for a protest and Gherao of the DC on Monday on the same subject. A memorandum will be submitted to the DC and asking the police to act swiftly and promptly in cases of loot and chain snatching.
