The Amba Bhavan circle would now have a statue of postman in the centre of the circle. The Cantonment is now contemplating to beautify the South Telegraph road and at the end of the road we have the Head Post office.
To honor the postman the Post department will install a statue of a postman in the circle and it will be beautified on the lines of Shaurya Chowk.
About Rs.50 lakhs would be spent on the same.

Before honoring postman, he/she should be trained to take care of postal materials to be handled with care, at times valuable letters containing legal documents or financial statements are getting tossed on the residential property as though it is some kind of garbage, after awhile wind comes and sweeps it away. This kind of practice might put residence in legal battle due to mishandling the mail by postman delivering it.
