The South Western Railway has announced the cancellation of special train services between Belagavi and Manuguru stations, citing operational reasons. The cancellations will take effect on December 18 and 19, 2024, respectively.
Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi, stated that Train No. 07335 (Belagavi to Manuguru) will be discontinued starting December 18, 2024, while Train No. 07336 (Manuguru to Belagavi) will cease operations from December 19, 2024, until further notice.
The decision has sparked concern among commuters, particularly as this service connects Belagavi and Hubballi to Hyderabad. Local residents and regular passengers have appealed to the railway board to reconsider the cancellation and at least retain the service up to Hyderabad.
Very disheartening to note d ubrupt cancelation of the train from belgaum to manguru. Leave about keeping the promises made by all d so called eminent and powerful people giving high promises. Belgaum is only a namesake 2nd capital of the state. Now operational reasons, earlier technical problems still these hv not been overcome. Very disgraceful to the people of the 2nd capital. We hv to pray almighty to give wholehearted blessings to the people in disguise who are behind this putting their nose and stopping the development of belgavai in one or the other way to give good thoughts for d overall development of this place.
