The Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) distributed a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh each to the kin of four persons, who died after coming into the contact with a live high-tension electricity cable during the Ganesh immersion procession at Sadashivnagar on September 18.
The cheques were handed over by Excise Minister and District in-charge Satish L. Jarkiholi, and Minister for Sugar, Small Scale Industries and Muzarai, Prakash B. Hukkeri, at the office of Deputy Commissioner N. Jayaram.
