KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and MLA Satish Jarkiholi have been summoned by the Congress high command to New Delhi on Tuesday.
Satish Jarkiholi could meet AICC General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge K C Venugopal, and discuss the Belagavi deadlock.
It may be recalled that in the past week Jarkhiholi brothers namely Satish and minister Ramesh had a feud with Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar for ‘interfering’ in Belagavi politics which was related to a PLD (Primary Land Development) Bank.
Earlier the Congress leadership has been forced to intervene in the Belagavi feud between the powerful Jarkiholi brothers and their archrival Lakshmi Hebbalkar, which has set off alarm bells in the Congress-JD(S) coalition.
Struck with defeat and threatened by glimpses of Shivakumar’s involvement in the events, the Jarkiholi brothers stepped up to assert their power in the Belagavi Congress. Ramesh and Satish Jarkiholi held talks with BJP’s MLA.
