The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has announced a public convention titled ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’, set to take place in Belagavi on January 21, 2025. The event will feature the presence of central leaders of the Congress party.
Originally scheduled for December 27, 2024, the programme was postponed following the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. This convention is part of the centenary celebrations marking Mahatma Gandhi’s historic presidency of the Congress session in Belagavi in 1924.
KPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met with AICC organisational secretary and MP K.C. Venugopal on Tuesday to discuss the preparations for the event.
The two-day programme aims to pay tribute to the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and the Constitution, while highlighting their relevance in contemporary times.
