Police have recovered two chopped legs behind the Vegetable market in the fort moat at Belagavi Fort Area on Saturday. The Auto drivers saw this and called the police.
The Market police have filed a case of murder and are investigating the matter.
As only the severed legs have been found the police are now on the lookout for the torso.
It is still not clear whether the murdered is a male or female but the police have taken the severed legs and forensic examination is been done.
Sources say the murder could have been done about 8-10 days ago and the severed legs were thrown away.
The police have the hard task of finding the torso so as to identify the person.
The worst part is the legs were found in an open area, but the search nearby by the police did not yield any clues.
