The Cantonment Board of Belagavi has announced the cutting and removing 31 trees of various species located across multiple areas within the cantonment zone. These trees are set to be auctioned through a public e-auction, scheduled for February 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the official e-auction portal.
The initiative includes trees in areas such as the Cantonment Board office premises, Church Road Garden, and Thimayya Road, among others.

- Church Road Garden, St. Mary’s Church: 16 standing Nilgiri trees (complete cutting).
- Thimayya Road, New Mochi Line: 4 standing mango trees (complete cutting).
- Thimayya Road: 1 standing Acacia tree (complete cutting).
- St. Anthony Church: 1 standing Silver Oak tree (complete cutting).
- Cantonment Board Office Premises:
- 4 standing Gulmohar trees (3 complete cutting, 1 branches removal).
- 3 standing Jungle Wood trees (2 complete cutting, 1 branches removal).
- 2 standing Tapasi trees (1 complete cutting, 1 branches removal).
A total of 31 trees, including species like Nilgiri, Mango, Acacia, and Gulmohar, are slated for removal or trimming as part of this plan.
