Dr.Chandragupta, 2006 IPS officer today took charge as the new Superintendent of Police Belgaum. Chandragupta is Msc(Agri) PhD. And is a native of Chikmagalur district. He has served his best in Haveri and then in Bellary.
He was instrumental along with DC Aditya Biswas to clear the “Republic of Bellary’’ tag given by former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde.
Mr. Chandragupta sought the cooperation of all in curbing the crime rate in the district and maintaining law and order.
Hope he continues , if not builds on, the legacy of Sandeep Patil.
