The Union Ministry of Health has identified Mysuru, Bengaluru, Hassan, Mangaluru, Karwar and Belagavi where the Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) medical oxygen plants of 1,000 LPM capacity each would be set up amidst COVID-19 crisis by DRDO.
Belagavi will also get a 1,000 LPM oxygen plant, but the location is yet to be identified.
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is executing the key project based on the recommendations of the sites by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
