Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar arrived in Belagavi by a special plane to pacify upset Lakshman Savadi and others.
After a hectic period during and after the election, I decided to take a trip to meet with the leaders who have given us strength. My days were filled with government formation, cabinet meetings, portfolio allocation, departmental meetings, and the implementation of guarantee schemes. However, I knew it was important to make time for our party leaders, including Jagdish Shettar, Lakshman Savadi and others, the Deputy CM said.
It is now our duty to empower them, which is why I have come for a friendly visit to discuss internal party issues and offer advice. I want to make it clear that this visit is not for any political reasons.
Lakshman Savadi is a leader who has given strength to our party during difficult times. As the party president, I am meeting with senior leaders Savadi and Shettar. I want to assure everyone that the Congress party will not let go of any leader. We will also hold hands with those who held hands with us during our difficult times, the minister further said.
The Chief Minister will hold a meeting with all the ministers today, and he has already discussed with all the ministries and called a cabinet meeting for tomorrow.
When asked about the status of Lakshman Savadi, I want to make it clear that the party knows which leader should be given which position. I want to emphasize that we will stand with him, and he is the leader of our party. There is no bargaining here. We will not abandon those who have joined hands with us during difficult times.
