Considering the new trends in the industries and corporate, the institute is introducing two new Master’s Programmes in Industrial Engineering & Management as well as Automotive Electronics. These programmes are popular across the Globe. They are a perfect blend of interrelated disciplines. Both the progrmmes are of 2 year’s duration and the degree is offered by VTU under the Autonomous status of KLS Gogte Institute of Technology. The Institute is also interacting with few national level institutes to seek their association for the conduct of this programme.
The academic performance for the academic year 2015-16 is excellent with close to 100% in all the disciplines and expecting one of the most top position at the University level.
The year 2015-16 was great for Karnatak Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology, has a record of 750 candidates placement offers. The average salary of students was around 4.5 lakhs per annum with the highest reaching to 10+ lakhs per annum. All the companies appreciated the merit and the preparedness of the students. Institute prepares the students with extensive training on aptitude and technical abilities right from 2nd year of Engineering. Extra-curricular activities such as Aura, Avalanche etc. add to the team work ability and guide the students. The students undergo a special certification course in English through Cambridge and other professional organizations.
KLS Gogte Institute of Technology was also conferred with various awards in the year 2015-16, the significant one are Asian Education Leadership Award at Dubai, Data Quest T-School Award, Top T-School in India by Competition Success Review and Award by “dna” for excellence in academics and industry interface.
Recently, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology signed a historic MoU with CII, BFC and Japanese International Cooperation Association to usher a new step to bridge the gap between Industry & Academics. This platform is also a march towards Nation building through skill development and employment generation. During the occasion VLMi –Visionary Laghu Udyog Mitra Mandal, Belagavi Chapter was also launched at GIT. VLMi – Belagavi is the only chapter in the country after Pune; the forum has been constituted to follow the footsteps of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. GIT is the first institute in South India to be part of this great initiative.
