Encroachment and road widening under master plan are different

Belgaum/Belagavi is currently struck by demolition drive. At the same time there have been some misconceptions and citizens are being misguided with respect two totally different legal works.
The anti encroachment drive was undertaken after the High court order which is a must and needs to notice to be given as the Govt land is encroached in most of the cases.
There were some reports that marking done for road widening in Ramdev Galli, Ramlingkhind galli, Patil galli also part of the same encroachment drive.
But these are two different issues all together. The buildings have been marked by the virtue of which it means and is supposed to be the property of a private person from which the land will have to acquired for the process of road widening.

The due process of law must be followed when such road widening are taken up within the city. In the past there were some widening done without compensation and the ones who fought it out did get a compensation from the order of the court.

Encroachments at Laxmi Market Khanjar galli were removed and 33 shops as part of compensation were given to the persons who had shops there.
The shop owners in the city area are quite tensed awaiting the JCB to arrive any time. But the question remains is road widening under master plan same as Encroachment.
