These new plans offer greater value for students and their families by increasing Download and Upload speeds at an unheard monthly rate. This would be the first time in the history of Belagavi city.

*All the plans have unlimited data. There is no FUP (Fair Usage Policy) data cap. To avail of the plan, user will have to have at least one student in the family pursuing studies (1st standard onwards up to Ph.D). The user would need to provide the ID card of the student to avail of any of these plans.

“It is my dream to give free internet to every citizen of Belagavi and this move is in that direction. Pandemic has made the internet an essential service for everyone, most importantly students community whose future is dependent on it. It is unfortunate to see many students lagging behind because they cannot afford the internet. But now with our latest technology, we are able to launch this service to help every single student living in my city of Belagavi. These plans are perhaps the cheapest in the state,” said Ajit Patil, CEO of FAAST Internet and Broadband services.
“Since, the launch of FAAST in 2016, we have constantly strived to implement new technologies to reduce the cost and pass on the benefit to people of our city. Being from Belagavi, I feel it is my responsibility to contribute to this city,” he said.
FAAST had reached out to the student community before the launch of the service. Karthik Tigadi, a final year BSc student said, “It will be great if we can get internet at this cost. Many students like me will be happy that they will be able to afford an internet connection without hampering their family’s financial condition. We need unlimited data as everything is online these days. I was trying to manage with mobile data but it does not work all the time. My studies are totally dependent on the internet and without that, I have suffered a lot. These plans are the cheapest compared any other company. I will be eagerly waiting for the service to launch.”
