A group of farmers had gathered and had protested infront of MP Suresh Angadi’s residence this afternoon. During the protest farmer Dhamanna Tahshildar aged 65 felt uneasy and the police was informed to get an ambulance but it for over an hour ambulance never arrived.
Atlast when the protestors came back to the pandal at the DC office he suffered a cardiac arrest and died on the spot. He was from Ronn Taluka, Gadag.
The protesting farmers became aggrieved against this sudden death and asked an immediate compensation of Rs.25 lakhs and said the body will be only after the same is paid. The DC and the protestors are currently meeting to solve this issue.
