MLA Belagavi Dakhin Abhay Patil’s dream project has finally got a Muhurta for the inauguration. Union Minister for Women and Child Development and the Minister of Minority affairs Mrs. Smriti Irani to visit Belagavi on 16th March for the inauguration of Shiv Charitra at Shahapur Belagavi at 5.30 pm.
The BUDA also took up this challenging work of building a replica and a garden to depict the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Shivaji Garden in Shahpur.
Around 10-11, crores have been spent on the same.
10 years taken for completion
Work started in November 2012 by the BUDA
Work should have been completed by April 2013
On 28th April 2017, the same was inaugurated by Mayor Sanjyot Bandekar even when the work wasn’t completed.
Even before the inauguration, it was repaired on many occasions.
The dream project of Abhay Patil which he started 10 years ago, has been standing strong as it is for the past 10 years.
The Shiv Shrushti (Shiva Charitra) will have lights, music shows, life-size models, and murals.
