In a case dating back to 2007, the local court here in Belagavi today sentenced 4 persons with 10 years of imprisonment and also a fine of Rs.4 lakh each for selling hashish.
The hashish was brought here from Goa and was been sold when the police had nabbed them. Akash Desai, Abdulmunaf Buranwale, Mohamad Ali Sayyed and Sajjan Harvalkar are the persons who have been convicted.
All were nabbed when they were selling drugs near the Swimming pool near Basveshwar Circle.
Law breaking criminals deserve to be behind the bars so that the rest of the society would be taught to stay away from illegal activities.
