The Enrollment for Aadhar Card is free across the country but even then citizens are being asked to pay upto Rs.200 for new enrollment or even updation of Aadhar card data by a centre in Belagavi. As per the GOI order one can go to the Aadhar Enrollment Centre and ask the operator to Register for Aadhar Card. You need not to pay any Fee or Charge for this but here at the Aadhar kendra, Bauxite Road Belagavi.
New apostolic church, Annapurna wadi Belagavi-590010 when a citizen went to update the mobile number and other details he was asked to pay up Rs.200 per applicant.
We did find out that Aadhar card enrollment and updation is completely free and no one can charge for this.
The person incharge can be heard in the video saying that they collect the fees and make a DD and pay to the govt.
Now there are many questions that arise ?
Is this centre officially approved by Unique Identification Authority of India?
Deputy Commissioner is the overlooking authority for UIDAI, will he act on this ?
If this centre is not approved then is the Biometric data being sold or misused?
If you are asked to pay any fee to register for Aadhar Card by any Aadhar Center or officials, You immediately need to complaint against that center to the District Headquarter or District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner of your area.
