Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday said the Karnataka government will provide free Covid-19 vaccines to all those above 18 years of age in the state.
Covid19 vaccine will be provided free of cost to citizens between 18-44 years of age at all govt vaccination centers across Karnataka. Union Govt vaccination drive for citizens above 45 years of age will continue. I urge all eligible to register themselves from April 28.

That is commendable. Good decision. Further, if authorities can instruct the concerned centres to segregate timings for citizens age 45 & + and less than 45 . This is to avoid crowd and potential infection if any between two groups.
Wasn’t it always free at govt hospitals? Only private are charging. What’s the point of this announcement?
