Gauri Lankesh murder: Killer trained in Belagavi

Prashuram Wagmare, the alleged shooter of Gauri Lankesh, confessed before the police that he pressed the trigger on September 5, 2017 thus killing Gauri and sources said that Wagmare was recruited to kill Gauri and he was trained to use an air pistol with 500 rounds in Belgaum for months before the murder, reports the IndiaToday.

Earlier as well new was broken that the entire plan to kill Lankesh was hatched in a hotel in Belagavi.

Wagmare returned to Bangalore on September 3, 2017 and tried to kill Gauri the next day but the attempt failed. On September 5 he managed to kill Gauri and returned to Bijapur the same night.

He told the police that he was not sure what type of gun was given to him on the day of the murder. He said that the gun recoiled and hurt his hand.
