There was a protest by the students and othrs against the delay in the road widening process..I completely agree that the process is taking time and the local or state government responsible for the widening of the roads are wrong on their part..BUT I DIDN’T SUPPORT THE PROTEST AS I FEEL THAT THE GIRL WHO WAS RIDING THE BIKE SHOULD HAVE WORN A HELMET, BLAMING OTHERS IS A DIFFERENT THING BUT YOU SHOULD ALSO BE RIGHT ON YOUR PART..

This is why government has made helmet compulsory while driving to avoid such fetal incidents.
Today she might have been survived or might have got injuries if she would have weared helmet.
Start from today itself protect yourself.
FOLLOW TRAFFIC RULES., BELGAUM IS NO LONGER LIKE EARLIER DAYS POPULATION & TRAFFIC HAS INCREASED A LOT, TAKE YOUR OWN PRECAUTION. AS WE ALL HAVE SOMEONE WAITING AT OUR HOME.

Students should put pressure on college authorities, which in turn will force the colleges to put pressure on GOVT. Since all these colleges belong to some politician, they will be forced to take action quickly

Heavy Vehicles should not be allowed to enter the city limits during the peak hours, this is been implemented in Middle East & other countries. By doing this traffic congestion will be reduced and it will be safer for the 2-wheeler’s specially students to commute.

Any person driving on this road should be cautious, and a request to district administration and local authorities please take immediate action on road widening and complete it as soon as possible so there will be separate lane for heavy vehicles and light vehicle, this step will seriously reduce no of accidents on this road

I request all the students who have their colleges after the third gate towards khanapur to please use public transport or college buses. The college management should also see to it that all their students use college transport.

You may hear the term black spots in relation to an accident. But what are these black spots? They are some specific locations where multiple accidents have taken place. Often accidents in Belgaum are attributed to the negligence of the driver alone. But if a high number of accidents have taken place, the causes could be multiple – it could range from a sharp drop or corner on a straight road, so oncoming traffic is concealed, poor or concealed warning signs at cross-roads or a hidden junction on a fast road. It has to do with poor road design, bad road engineering and management.

Whole district administration should be blamed for this accidents taking place on this road, if ring roads n double roads are made where there is heavy vehicle movement take place then this incident would never occur so much..
