The monthly meeting of the Belagavi Cantonment was held on Thursday and CEO of the Cantonment said that no proposal was received from the Belagavi smart city ltd for the removal of structures and widening of the road from Globe to Sanchayni Circle.
Wall of the Cantonment Board office and some shops have hampered the widening of the road.
But as per the CEO of the Board as no proposal about the compensation and other details have not been shared with the board and as the land belongs to the defense department permission can only be given by the higher authorities after an official letter is sent.
Suresh Angadi in the meeting put-forth a proposal of an underpass from Station connecting to Congress road. He has also asked the Cantonment board to remove the sweet shop at the entrance of the station which is causing hindrance for the development work.
