Shamanoor Shivashankarappa minister for Horticulture in a reply to Umesh Kattis question the assembly replied that the work on the Heritage park at Vaccine depot would be commenced soon. A sum of Rs.2 crores have been set aside for the same he added. The entire plan has been prepared and now the tendering process will be started.
The plan to make a Heritage park at the Vaccine depot is doing the rounds since 2009, after the proposal of establishing the assembly there was scrapped after protests from nature lovers. In 2010 A full plan for the Heritage park was developed but nothing happened later.
