Hidkal dam site to become tourism hub soon

On August 5, 2014 we had made a story Amusement park planned at Hidkal Dam.

The State government has decided to tap the scenic beauty of these reservoirs (Kabini, Gorur, Bhadra and Hidkal) to promote adventure sports and entertainment facilities, including budget hotels, food courts, theme parks and resorts.
It has been proposed that water sports and other tourism activities be promoted on the 300 acres at Hidal dam.

The ₹85 crore project in Hidkal in Belagavi district has been sanctioned by the State High-Level Clearance Committee meeting on Thursday.

The dam site is under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited (KNNL). The dam site is a potential location for attracting both domestic and foreign tourists if developed to make it attractive. Entertainment park with components at Amusement park. Theme park and Water sports complex river view boulder, water amphitheater and water pools and beach type resorts.

  3. Theme park at hidkal dam project is a beautiful project.there is another 3 dams and 2 beautiful falls and one bird century is also there for site seeing. Please complete the project as early as possible. So that it becomes a beautiful projects in north Karnataka.

  4. Govt will not do anything,it is only for electionpurpose. the govt will not do any project which gives income to the govt.
