Infosys plans to expand to cities like Belagavi

As per the story in the Business Standard,Infosys has plans to expand to cities like Indore, Mohali, Belgaum (Belagavi), Hubli (Hubballi) and Nagpur.

Infosys, the country’s second largest software exporter, has signed two large office leasing deals in Pune and Bengaluru in the last quarter.

Infosys has already commenced work on building a new campus in Hubballi.
With sky rocketing costs IT companies will definitely look at cost reduction and cities like Belagavi can benefit from it, only if the political will is there to get them here.
Big companies often go to places where they get clearances faster and there is ease to do business. Belagavi is a education hub with so many engineers working for similar companies in the metros, it would be great if some shift offices here.

On Dec 9, 2015 we had posted a story Infosys to start new facility at Belagavi ? Nothing has moved after that. Hope something moves now..

Days of ostentatious wealth display, perennially endless traffic jam, humongous buildings with glass facade to trap heat, eye burning unaffordable real estate prices for non-IT people, glitzy fast food outlets that serve high priced tasty looking not so good food.

Hubli and Belgaum both have equal potential to grow as future cities of India… hope our political leaders understand this and give equal chance of development to both cities…

There are many builders who wants to construct IT Buildings and Residential Projects in Belgaum, the only thing they need is Land with no objections from local politicians.
For land they can buy from citizens with much higher cost then market, but difficult to deal with Politicians 🙂
