The only drawback as yet is, no big planes such as Airbus or Boeing are flying from here.

Belagavi will not only be the most connected destination in North Karnataka but also the busiest one, and besides it has now second-highest load to Bengaluru after Mangluru in the state, thanking all the people of Belagavi and people who have contributed for the cause, and ending on a positive note to see some international routes to start from here in near future.

Currently, IXG has flights to Bengaluru (3), 3 to Hyderabad, 2 to Mumbai, and 1 each to Pune, Indore, Surat, Cuddapah, Tirupati, Mysore, and Ahmedabad, Chennai ( via MYQ) with around 25 operations a day on average.

Star Air which is already parking its one plane here will also utilize its second parking slot from this month. So two planes would be parked here overnight.

  1. It is really most welcoming news for Belagavi people, kudos to Belagavi airport and all Belagavi people.

Concerned authorities should take steps to launch Delhi flight and to start international link flights from Belagavi

  2. Delhi flight is much needed one. Travel by train and bus is not convenient and take huge amount of time. Concerned authorities should work on this too.

  3. I am proud to be from Belgaum. As a cantonment area , it’s need of time to explore new cities specially for defence personnel as they move up north their are no direct flights… It’s very difficult as time consuming to report them ( Defence personnel ) on time for duty.

I think more flights should start from belagavi and I am sure , all nearby cities will be benefited. Thanks
