Janshatabdi train from Pune to Belagavi from New year

Photo of author

The sources in the Railway have confirmed that as per the request made by the MoSR Suresh Angadi a new Janshatabdi train would be started in the new year in between Pune and Belagavi.

The distance between Pune to Belagavi is 416 km and it will give good connectivity.

The Jan Shatabdi Express is a more affordable and economical version of the Shatabdi Express. It is similar to Shatabdi Express in terms of fare and precedence but Jan Shatabdi Express has all the classes such as Executive Class, AC Chair Car, Indian Railways coaching stock while Shatabdi Express does not have the 2nd Class seating coaches. The fare does not include food charges, but it has the onboard catering service on some routes from where food can be bought. The top speed of Jan Shatabdi trains is 140 km/hr with an average of 70 km/hr.

The journey will be around 6.30 to 7 hours and normally the train leaves in the morning and returns up to 10.30 PM at night to the designated station.

I tequest Minister Shri Angadi to cosider laying new railway line from Belgaum to Kolhapur by which people from Nipani Chikodi will get benifit. He has already taken decision to lay new line from Belgaum to Hubli via Kittur.

What is most appreciable is I think you have been one of the Best Ministers the state has had in recent times. You have very quickly implemented the needs in such a short time. That shows you being an MP for three terms has helped in knowing what needs to be done. You are using your authority and power for common good. Keep it up. God bless you.

  18. Congratulations Mr. Angadi sir,
U are doing wonders for North Karnataka region. I request you to consider extending, Belagavi to ksr(bangalore) daily train to mysore to provide connectivity to people of mysore.
Ksr station is congested beyond imagination & it would be good measure to provide north- south connectivity. Trains connecting various districts or parts of Karnataka, may either be extended or connected to Mysore.
