Kannada Rajyotsava: DC Belagavi Urges Lighting Kannada Jyoti in Homes

The Karnataka government has made the decision to hold the Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1 in a grand manner to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the State’s renaming. In light of this milestone, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has urged the public to enhance the festivities by lighting Kannada Jyoti and creating rangoli designs in front of their homes, as well as flying kites.

Patil has requested that all residents of the district display red and yellow rangolis on November 1, along with the slogan “ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ-50 ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉಸಿರಾಗಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ.” Additionally, Naad Geeta will be broadcast on November 1 at 9 a.m. by all radio stations in the state, and it is expected that all citizens of the district will stand and pay their respects during this time.

Furthermore, the Suvarna Sambhram Kite Festival is set to take place at 5 pm on November 1, where red and yellow banded kites will be flown in all village grounds. Similarly, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has encouraged citizens to light Kannada Jyoti in front of their homes, offices, and shops at 7 pm on the same day.

The announcement emphasizes the participation of all citizens, associations, and organizations in the district to partake in the Rajyotsava celebration by engaging in Rangoli art, participating in the Kite Festival, and lighting Kannada Jyoti.
