A case was registered at Khade Bazar Belagavi Police Station, Crime No: 47/2023, and based on the complaint from the plaintiff regarding the theft of his TVS Apache RTR motorcycle. The investigation into the case was conducted on 27/11/2023, leading to the identification of the accused individuals involved.
The accused in this case are Mahesha Ningappa Madar, aged 23, from Vijaypura, Ameer Babu Elagi, aged 19, from Vijayapura, and Prashanth Gopal More, aged 21, also from Vijayapura.
During the interrogation, the accused not only admitted to stealing the motorcycle but also confessed to committing robberies in Belagavi, Athani, Vijayapura, Maharashtra, Solapur, and Goa.
They were involved in the theft of 14 motorcycles, including 01-TVS Apache Motorcycle, 02-Bajaj Pulsar NS Motorcycles, 05-Hero Stender Plus Motorcycles, 02-Honda Motor Cycles Cycle, and 01-Hero Spender Pro Motorcycle, with a total value of Rs.6,79,000/-.

As a result of the investigation, four cases from Khadebazar Police Station, one case from Athani Police Station, and one case of Motorcycle Theft from Jal Nagar Police Station were solved. The search for the rightful owners of the stolen motorcycles is ongoing, and the accused have been apprehended and presented before the competent court.
The search operation for the accused individuals was done under guidance of Mrs. Sneha PV, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Traffic), Mr. Arun Kumar Kolur, ACP Khadebazar Sub Division, under the guidance of Mr. DP Nimbalakar, Police Inspector, and Mr. Ananda Adagonda, PSI, along with the dedicated staff members AB Shetty, BS Rudrapura. SN Siddaramappa IPS, Police Commissioner of Belagavi City has announced a prize of Rs.10,000/- to the staff.
