The Union government had asked the state government to allocate land for its Anti Terror training centre and the state State Cabinet yesterday approved the allocation of land for the Counter Insurgency and Anti Terror Training Centre to be set up by the Union government at Khanapur taluk in Belgaum district.
408 acres of land at Khanapur has already been identified where a training centre is being proposed by the union Home department said the minister.
Belgaum already has its pride the MLIRC and Airforce station. The ITBP has its camp near Hallbhavi and now the ATS centre near Khanapur.
