The KLE Advanced Simulation Centre and Clinical Skills Lab, a new initiative of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, a constituent unit of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed-to-be-University), is a state-of-the-art multi-professional training facility equipped with the most advanced Hi-Tech, Hi-fidelity simulators and skills trainers.

The centre is committed to inculcate competency-based simulation education into the curriculum of medical professionals through risk free learning with the ultimate mission of promoting patient safety.

Simulation based training is the need of the hour in Medical Education. The Medical students and trainees get trained on simulated models and mannikins to acquire and practice various patient care skills like resuscitation of seriously ill patients, emergency care, conducting deliveries even in complicated situations, performing surgeries, procedures like catherization, venipuncture, tracheostomy, intubation, etc. These trainees practice these skills on models till they acquire sufficient expertise to safely perform them on actual patients. This will not only help in teaching and training of Under-Graduate and Post Graduate Medical students but also help practicing Doctors to hone their cooperative/ Procedural Skills.
