The State government issued a fresh order on Thursday allowing KMF Nandini milk parlours to stay open from 6 in the morning to 8 at night.

This new order can be used by many to flout the curfew rules and loiter around in name of getting milk, many say.

The order, issued by N Manjunatha Prasad, Revenue Principal Secretary and member-secretary, Karnataka State Disaster Management,  applies only to milk parlours which belong to the Karnataka Milk Federation.

  1. Instead of keeping the outlets open, under Police protection, milk vans should go to residential areas so that there is no crowd at market place. Hope Govt in all sincerity wants to control the spread.

  2. Vegetable, milk and fruit trucks should be arranged for. To go around like last year.
That, imho, is the sensible way to do things.
    Then again . . .
    smart city knows better.
