Belagavi district registered a total of 545 fresh Covid-19 cases on April 29, the active cases in the district reached 2822.
156 persons have been discharged today
545 new cases in a day is the all time high for Belagavi, last year 392 was the single day highest reported. Mind you these are official reports.
Active cases have now risen to 2822
Total death toll has now reached 360

Every one needs to be extra careful, specially administrators. Vaccine distribution needs to be well coordinated. At some centres, there is wastage and we have stock out situation now . We see long queues at the centre which could be potential ground for spreading!!!.

We are in this state because the government chose to have the rallies and elections continue DESPITE the many cries to postpone them. Last year the tablighi jamat was berated. This year 60 people from Belagavi (out of the 1000 odd from entire Karnataka) that attended a rally at the border of Karnataka and Maharashtra infected us all.
We have a shortage because shipments were given away to other countries without taking into account/anticipating the worst for the countries own citizens first. Pray for the best, PREPARE FOR THE WORST!
