The South Western Railways had issued a public caution for tourists and travelers stating that tigers and leopards have been sighted along the Castle Rock-Kulem railway track section, and today morning a dead leopard was found on the track in between Kulem and Castlerock.
The trackman who was on duty found this dead leopard on the sides of the railway track with a severe head injury, which could have been due to a train, the officials said.
