The South Western Railways on Saturday issued a public caution for tourists and travellers stating that tigers and leopards have been sighted along the Castle Rock-Kulem railway track section.
“It is reported that tigers and leopards have been spotted near the railway track between Castle Rock and Kulem ghat section. Therefore, the general public and tourists are advised to be cautious while moving on Castle Rock-Kulem ghat section,” a statement issued by the public relations officer of the South Western Railways said. The section, which covers parts of Goa and North Karnataka, is located in the dense Western Ghat forests.
The section, which spans across Goa and North Karnataka, is situated in the dense Western Ghat forests and gained popularity in the Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone-starrer “Chennai Express”.
