The two people who were standing under a tree near the Surabhi Hotel on Kanabaragi Road died on Friday afternoon following a lightning strike.
Two people, who were standing under a tree near the Surabhi Hotel on the Kanabaragi road, were struck by lightning on Friday afternoon in the outskirts of Belagavi.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Bharamappa Bahadarwadi and 45-year-old Prakasha Vyapargi.
Both were rushed to Civil Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries at around 4 pm.
A case has been registered at Mallamaruti Station.
