M. K. Nambyar Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition

Karnatak Law Society’s Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Tilakwadi, Belagavi, is organising the 10th M. K. Nambyar Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition, 2020, patronized by Padma Vibhushan Shri K. K. Venugopal, Attorney General for India and our proud alumnus. 33 teams from different states of India [Karnataka (17), Maharashtra (4), Tamil Nadu (3), Uttar Pradesh (2), and one each from Telangana, West Bengal, Goa, Odisha, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh) are participating in this competition to be conducted in R. L. Law College, Belagavi.

Nearly 40 advocates and academicians will be acting as Moot Judges to judge the participants. Prizes worth 80,000 will be awarded to winners in different categories as under – Winner: Runner-up, Best Speaker (Male), Best Speaker (Female) and Best Memorial (Written Submission).

The inaugural function of the competition is scheduled for Friday, 13th March, 2020 at 05:30 PM. Hon’ble Shri Justice B. M. Shyam Prasad, Judge, High Court of Karnataka has consented to be the Chief Guest. Hon’ble Shri R. J. Satish Singh, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Belagavi and Shri P. S. Sawkar, Advocate and Chairman, Board of Management, Karnatak Law Society will be the Guests of Honour. Shri Anant Mandgi, Senior Advocate and President, Karnatak Law Society will preside over the function.
