Mahesh Foundation 100-bed Charitable Hospital at Kanbargi by 2023

Mahesh Foundation has been working for HIV-infected and underprivileged children for the past 13 years supporting the livelihood, education, and healthcare of the children. Over the years, it has supported more than 20000 children.

Well-known architect Mr. Alok Shetty has designed the Charitable Hospital and he has also designed the existing school building of Mahesh Foundation. The hospital will be built beside the KHB colony in Kanabargi, Belagavi near the hill area in a total area of 23000 sq. ft.

The project is under construction and is expected to be completed by May 2023. the work on the same has been commenced a couple of months ago.

This hospital will serve the needy people by providing free healthcare services to thousands of poor in rural areas who can’t afford health care. It will have 6 Floors and 100 beds including 26 ICU beds.

The hospital will consist of below facilities:

• Dialysis Unit
• Diagnostic Unit
• Blood Bank
• Reception
• Registration Counters
• Doctor Rooms
• Lab Room
• Xray Room
• Dining Hall for Attenders & Kitchen
• Other Facilities of hospital

Nowadays poor people are unable to afford healthcare. The conditions have worsened after the hit of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government is committed to providing quality health care but it is not satisfactory. There are Primary Health Centers but the service these health care centers provide is not encouraging. Most of the population primarily depends on government infrastructure. This hospital will enable Mahesh Foundation to help some of them and ensures all the facilities that the patients need are free of cost.

This intervention will also be an attempt to satisfy the concern of better health care to rural people who lack facilities in Primary Health Center. This proposed Charitable hospital is expected to be completed and ready for operations within two years.

There is a need for a modern international grade hospital providing free treatment to bridge the demand gap that is currently not addressed by the existing healthcare.
