Mahesh Foundation gets KARNATAKA STATE AWARD 2014 for Child Welfare.

Mahesh Jadhav of Mahesh Foundation being Honored

On the occasion of children’s day Karnataka government conferred state level award for child welfare to Mahesh foundation. This award is given to the NGOs who work for child welfare.
Mahesh Foundation is an NGO in Belagavi working for the welfare of children and youth affected by HIV/AIDS by ensuring them education and encouraging them to fight the disease and help the slum dwellers by conducting health camps, Mahesh Foundation has supported more than 2300 children for education, for the last 6 years without any help of Government.

The ceremony was held in Bengaluru on November 14, on the occasion of Children’s Day and Governor Vajubai Vala and Minister of Women and Child Welfare Mrs. Umashree, minister of Primary Education Mr. Kimmane Ratnakara and various other dignitaries were present.

Governor Vajubai Vala in his speech said that “foundation like Mahesh Foundation should be recognized by the government and government should help in bringing such children into mainstream.” Mentioning a famous quote “Today’s children are tomorrow’s future, They hold the future in their little hands What we give to them today is our tomorrow” he praised Mahesh Foundation for understanding the depth of this quote well before.

In presence of these dignitaries, Mr. Mahesh Jadhav the President of Mahesh Foundation was conferred with the presentation of Rs 1,00,000 for the foundation and recognition of state level certificate.

We are also Glad that AAB was the first one to award Mahesh Foundation and had awarded Belgaumite of the year award 2010 to Mahesh Jadhav.
