Spontaneous Protest
Once again, the clamor for division echoes through Belagavi district, as Athani district calls for a bandh today. At Ambedkar Circle in Athni, a tire has been set ablaze, and protesters have gathered to voice their dissent. Led by the President of the Athani District Struggle Committee, a protest march was taken out.
The committee aims to submit a petition to former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA, Lakshman Savadi, who will raise the issue in the legislative assembly.

Notably, the struggle has garnered support from political parties and various organizations, transcending partisan lines. In light of the bandh, police security measures have been implemented, and shop fronts remain closed.
