The police arrested an impostor posing as an army officer and he lured youths to get them recruited into the army.
The youth, identified as Sagar Patil, 28, a resident of Garlgunji (Ta Khanapur).
The operation was jointly carried out by the Army Intelligence Southern Command and Belagavi police.
He used to target youths and would collect money from them about a lakh and give them training.
Two fake revolvers were also seized from the accused.
Sagar has reportedly collected large sums of money from more than 10 unemployed youths in Vadgaon and Khasbag areas, promising them recruitment in the army.
