Following the disqualification of two BJP corporators by Belagavi Regional Commissioner S.B. Shettennavar, a formal complaint was submitted to the Governor of Karnataka regarding the commissioner’s actions.
Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Arvind Bellad, met with the Governor to present their concerns. They provided detailed information and supporting documents, alleging that the disqualification order was unlawful.
The Governor took serious note of their submission and assured them that he would review the matter and communicate with the relevant authorities regarding the necessary action.
