Abhay Patil MLA Belagavi south met the defense minister Rajnath Singh today and requested his personal intervention into the handing over of the land for the IT park at Belagavi.

More than Fifty North Karnataka Members of Legislative Assembly have requested you to direct concerned Defense department to release the possession of Karnataka State Government
Owned Land survey number 1304 to 1349 located in Belagavi, Karnataka as the land is Owned by Government of Karnataka and the land was leased for 100 years to the Defense department in the year 1860 by then the ruling government, the lease expired in the year 1960. But the Defense
department has not released the possession of the said land even after the expiry of the lease.
I, had moved a private member’s Motion in the Karnataka State Assembly to Set up an IT park in the Karnataka State Government Owned Land Survey number 1304 to 1349, the motion
was accepted by the State Government. More than One Lakh youth of North Karnataka will get
employment if the IT Park is set up.
I, sincerely urge you to direct the concerned department to release the possession of the said State Government owned land and thus to make a way for the proposed IT PARK, which will
turn out to be a major employment boosting milestone in the benefit of the youth of North
Karnataka. Awaiting for a positive response from your office.
I have enclosed the request letter signed by the (More then 50) Members of Karnataka
Legislative Assembly who have urged you to do the needful in matter presented to you in this letter.

Great efforts by our MLA. If union Govt accepts his praposal, it will be a big boost to the Economics of karnataka & especially for Belgaum. The young generation & technocrats will be definitely benifited. If IT park is established in Bgm, there will not be necessity to move to Bng, Pune or hyd for IT job. We all support this good cause raised by Shri Abhay Patil.. I urge all other leaders also to pursue this issue seriously.

Belgaum is a very great city in the field of education and industry. Many engineering graduates and professionals in the field of IT migrate to other cities for their livelihood. It will be better to get the IT Park work done in a single shot without any further delay, which will help our Belgaumites to live n earn in Belgaum only….Belgaum is having good network connection of Road (National Highway) Rail connnectivity and Airport facility for the commuters and professionals.
