Movement of long-distance night bus, train services, air services permitted during Night curfew

Night curfew from 11.00 pm to 5.00 am starting 24th December until 1st January 2021. (5.00AM on January 2nd 2021)

The State has effectively implemented COVID 19 containment measures through strictly enforcing COVID appropriate behavior and aggressive tracking, testing, and isolating, as a result, there is a sustained decline in the number of fresh cases.

Whereas, a new variant of SARS- CoV 2 virus has been detected in United Kingdom, which is spreading and growing rapidly in the United Kingdom. It has also been reported that some recent returnees from the United Kingdom to the State have tested positive for COVID 19. However, the samples of these patients are undergoing a further test to determine if they have contracted a new variant of the virus.

Hence, it is necessitated to take additional containment measures to combat the spread of a new variant of SARS-CoV 2.

Therefore, in the exercise of the powers, conferred under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the undersigned in the capacity of Chairman, State Executive Committee, hereby directs imposition of night curfew from 11.00 pm to 5.00 am starting 24th December until January 2021. (5.00AM on January 2nd 2021) as per the below-given conditions, for strict implementation by Commissioner BBMP, Police Commissioners, District Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, other Heads of Departments and Authorities.

Guidelines:

The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between

11.00 pm to 5.00 am, except for essential activities.

There shall be no restriction in movement of all types of goods through trucks, goods vehicle or any goods carriers, including empty vehicles.

All industries/companies/organizations which requires operations at night shall be permitted to operate with 50% staff. Movement of employees of such organization shall be allowed on producing valid ID card issued by their respective Organization/Institution.

Industries/factories which requires 24/7 operations will be allowed to operate without any restrictions.

Movement of long distance night bus, train services and air services are permitted.

To and fro movement of taxis and auto are permitted for dropping/pickup of people to from bus stops Railway stations/Airports. The movement will be allowed on displaying valid tickets.

Midnight Christmas Mass on 24’h night shall be permitted as per guidelines issued on 17/12/2020.

Celebration of Christmas and New Year festivities shall be as per the guidelines issued vide Order No RD 465 TNR 2020, dated 17t2-2020.
