It was a sigh of relief for the parents, teachers and students of Government Marathi Primary School No. 37 at Nanawadi as the government provided 22 guntas of land for construction of its building.

The school, which was started in 1941, was run for a long time in a private shelter, whose owner vacated the school a few years ago. Later, another resident nearby provided a shed to run the school for about two decades, and got it vacated in 2011. Thereafter, another resident provided his automobile workshop to run the school for a year and vacated the school a few weeks ago. Last June school was forced to sit on a small stretch of road at Nanawadi where classes are held. Rs.9 Lakh was also allotted for the construction of the school building.
