The development was confirmed by MP Jagadish Shettar through a press release, expressing optimism about the project’s progress and its positive impact on the region.
Excellent move by CCB. License to run a business is absolutely necessary which businessmen were overlooking for years. Secondly, many of them don’t pay property tax… or pay far lessor than actual tax by doing manipulation in the construction area / type / category.
The new commissioner should ensure that 100% property tax with arrears, if any, is collected by March end. This revenue should be used for the maintenance of roads, parks UGD and street lights.
Congratulations to the new corporation commissioner for disciplining the concerned officers in the corporation and changing the work culture.
