Since August 1, RTPCR NEGATIVE COMPULSORY TO ENTER KARNATAKA FROM Maharashtra & KERALA.

Persons arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala should produce a Negative RTPCR certificate, that is not older than 72 hours irrespective of vaccination status.

This has irked many in neighboring districts across the border and today the NCP protested and also disrupted traffic on the highway against this rule.

Bhayya Mane, NCP State chief secretary led the agitation, as the agitators gathered at the Kognoli toll plaza and urged the Karnataka government to withdraw its rule of presenting negative RT-PCR report for entering the southern state.

    • By railway you need not require any test certifcate. The workers who frequently ferry in Border areas are realy troubled. Those are away from Border does affect little. Many workers need to travel form Kagwad to sangli & back there is no relaxation for them. We get RT PCR test results after 16 to 20 hours. In private test centres you have to shell Rs,800 to Rs.1000.This shall be be considered.
