Gulappa Hosmani, Chairman said that work on the new residential scheme at Kanbargi will begin on August 15, Independence Day.
Hosmani was speaking at an informal meeting with landowners who went to the BUDA office on Tuesday to demand that the work on a residential scheme in Kanbargi be started.
BUDA Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Town Planning Officer A. S. Kamble, Assistant Executive Engineer m. V. Hiremath was also present.
The new residential Building plan has been approved after overcoming many hurdles. Approval was delayed as the plan outline had to be changed ten times, Hosmani said.
Plots will be given to landowners first. After that, the remaining land will be sold by BUDA, said Gulappa Hosmani.
Chairman Hosmani and Commissioner Dinesh Kumar said that plots of various sizes would be prepared with a 100 feet road from Kanbargi to Basvan Kudachi.
