Night curfew order, issued earlier, has been withdrawn after reviewing the situation on the suggestion of technical advisory committee: Chief minister’s office, Karnataka.
Karnataka has withdrawn a night curfew – imposed a day earlier amid concerns over a mutated and rapidly-spreading coronavirus strain – hours before it was to come into effect. The curfew had been called for restrictions in movement between 10 pm and 6 am till January 2.
BSY has urged citizens to impose self-restraint by wearing face masks and ensuring social distancing. He asked citizens to avoid “unnecessary” travel and strictly follow Covid-19 regulations of the government “to help stop the spread of the virus.”
Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah said the decision to impose a night curfew itself was amusing.
Whatever the government does it amuses people and when the situation goes out of control we blame the government.
Whats the basis of implementation or withdrawal. Looks like No scientific approach only influential political pressure approach .
Whatever the government does it amuses people and when the situation goes out of control we blame the government.
Its another of those Tughlak decisions or U turns. Sets a very bad precedent for any politician and parties.
