The Information department has issued a statement saying that there is no NIPAH virus case in Belagavi as of now and the notice circulating on social media is baseless, false and fake.
A notice issued by the Shiv Basav Jyoti Homeopathy college about NIPAH virus is viral on the social media which mentions that 4 cases have been reported in KLE and are critical.
The notice also mentions All students of Kerala and nearby state are hereby warned not to go to their native places.
It also mentions virus has spread to 100 kms from Belagavi area also.
The district administration has categorically denied any such cases and has assured strict action would be taken against the ones who have issued such a false notice.
